Accessible Bathrooms Glasgow: Design, Supply & Installation

We design & install stylish bathrooms for people with restricted mobility. Whether it’s due to age, disability or injury, stepping in & out of baths can become a concern for some people.

However, we often hear that people don’t want to change their bathrooms, as there is a concern that it will end up looking like a “disabled” bathroom from decades ago. This couldn’t be further from the truth – accessible bathrooms can look fantastic.

where style meets functionality

Stylish Accessible Bathrooms

Nowadays, there are plenty of options to create an accessible bathroom that is both stylish & functional. This includes wet rooms, different types of walk-in showers & simple adaptations like grab bars & shower seats. All of the additional fittings can tie in beautifully with your scheme.

Even better, we can supply & install (or just supply) high-quality bathrooms at a very affordable price. This doesn’t mean our bathrooms are cheap. The bathrooms we supply are from leading manufacturers & come with excellent guarantees. Our fitters are all highly experienced and we also guarantee the installation work.

Our Glasgow showroom is open Monday – Saturday, with plenty of free parking & level access. If you’d prefer to discuss ideas in the comfort of your own home, we are happy to come & discuss ideas at your convenience.

this is how we can help

We Make Accessible Bathroom Design Simple

We try to make the process of adapting a bathroom as simple as possible.
We’re very flexible in our approach, so just let us know what would work best for you. This is the process that we would generally follow…

1Visit our showroom. When you come to the showroom, you’ll be able to speak to a bathroom designer and view our displays. Most importantly, it gives us the chance to discuss your requirements, issues that you’re currently experiencing and, of course, how you would like your bathroom to look.

Top tip: bring your measurements & take some photos on your phone. If you have this information with you, we’ll be able to give you a preliminary estimate. We can then move on to a home visit for a further conversation about design & to complete a survey.

2Start with a free home survey. Alternatively, we can start the conversation & design process without you leaving your home. We can have a discussion over the phone about your ideas on your bathroom would look & what adaptations may be required to make it more functional for your needs. We’d also need your dimensions, and a couple of photos of your bathroom would also be very useful.

This allows us to give a rough estimate. Assuming this is okay, we can then arrange to meet at your home for a full survey about design & how we can make the bathroom more accessible.

3Finalise design & quotation. After the survey, we’ll then help you through the process of finalising the design. We understand this is a big decision to make, so we’ll never rush you. If you need it, we’re happy to provide advice on everything from the furniture to the last light fitting.

Once the design has been agreed, we will submit a written quotation which contains full details of what will be supplied & the installation cost.

4We start fitting your bathroom. After you’ve paid a small deposit, we’ll order your new bathroom & accessories. At this time, we’ll also agree a date to start the work, and let you know when we should be finished.

When it comes to the installation, we’ll look after all aspects of plumbing, electrics, lighting, wall panel installation etc. The balance will only be due when you’re totally happy!

Accessible Wet Rooms Glasgow

We can turn traditional bathrooms into stunning wet rooms, that can be adapted for all mobility issues. A non-slip floor & easy access to a showering area removes all of the problems associated with stepping in & out of a bath.

Your starting point is a stylish range of panels & different types of showers. Grab bars & shower seats can also be added, if required (or they can be fitted at a later date).

To all intents & purposes, these accessible wet rooms look no different from a normal wet room.

Accessible wet rooms can be very traditional or extremely contemporary. Just come along to the showroom or feel free to give us a ring to start an initial conversation.

STYLISH, CONFIDENT SHOWERING

Walk-In Showers Glasgow

Another simple adaptation is to remove the bath and replace it with a walk-in shower. While similar to a wet room, the shower area is enclosed. If you have a large bathroom, these can easily be fitted into a spare corner, without needing to remove the bath.

One option is a level-access walk-in shower, which means you don’t need to step into the enclosure. The other choice is a low-level access shower, which requires. a very small step.

All of the shower trays are non-slip, and the shower enclosures are available in a wide range of shapes & styles. Of course, shower seats & grab bars can be fitted as required. However, whatever you choose, you will be left with a super-stylish bathroom!

Accessible Bathroom Adaptations

Sometimes, small things can make a big difference. If are not be ready to lose the bath just yet, minor adaptations can really help.

Grab bars, for example. These come in different styles & finishes, so it’s easy to tie them in with the look of your bathroom. Fitting unobtrusive bars near a toilet or sink for extra support can also increase stability in the bathroom.

Folding bathing seats can also be fitted into existing baths, wet rooms & walk-in showers. Again, there are lots of design options, so they can complement your existing bathroom design.
